Baltimore ConventionThe American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention is packed with exciting collector opportunities and coin exhibits.

Beginning Wednesday, July 30 and ending Sunday, August 3., this year’s convention in Baltimore, Maryland is sure to be one of the best.

Listing all the exceptional events occurring at the show is fruitless… There are simply too many. But here is a selection of several that highlight some of the fun and exciting experiences to enjoy:

Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC)

CCAC to Review American Eagle Platinum Designs at ANA World’s Fair of Money®
The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will next meet at the upcoming American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money convention in Baltimore. In addition to reviewing reverse designs for the 2009 American Eagle Platinum Proof Coin, the CCAC has invited the public to share their views, opinions and suggestions in an open forum.

One of the two known 1861-P "Paquet Reverse" Double Eagles will be displayed during the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention in Baltimore, July 30 – August 3, 2008.

Kagin’s Marks Platinum Year with Free Platinum Coin
Well-known numismatic firm, Kagin’s, Inc. (www.Kagins.com) of Tiburon, California, founded in 1933 by Arthur M. “Art” Kagin, will celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary during the upcoming American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money convention in Baltimore.

  • Collectors Invited to Baltimore PNG Day, July 29, 2008
    This year’s annual PNG Day conducted by the Professional Numismatists Guild in conjunction with the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in Hall A of the Baltimore Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Collectors are cordially invited to attend; however, an invitation is required for admission.

  • Summer 2008 PNG Share the Knowledge Seminars
    The Professional Numismatists Guild will continue its year-long series of PNG Share the Knowledge educational seminars at major numismatic conventions in June and August. Programs will be conducted by PNG member-dealers at the Whitman Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention, June 6; the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore, August 1 and 2; and at the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Atlanta Expo, August 22, 2008.

PCGS Presents Stewart Blay’s Legendary “Red Copper Collection” at ANA
The "Red Copper Collection" of mint state and proof half cents and cents will be publicly displayed for the first time by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) at the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention in Baltimore, July 30 – August 2, 2008.

Heritage Auction Galleries

  • Platinum Night Rarities Shine in Heritage’s July 2008 Baltimore ANA Signature Auction
    Significant and classic rarities from all series in American numismatics are available in Heritage’s Platinum Night catalog for the Official Auction of the Baltimore 2008 ANA World’s Fair of Money®. The auction will be held in Baltimore July 30 – Aug. 3, with Platinum Night on July 31, 2008.

  • Break Bread with Halperin, Raise Dough for ANA
    An unprecedented "lot" will be offered in conjunction with the official auction of the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money® convention in Baltimore: lunch with Heritage Auction Galleries Co-Chairman, best-selling author and acclaimed numismatic authority, Jim Halperin.
