2008 Chicago First Day $2 Single Notes

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has announced First Day 2008 Chicago $2 Single Notes will become available on April 21, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. (DST).

The Chicago note will be the fourth $2 collector bill released in 2008. The Atlanta $2 single notes were first off the printing presses in January followed by the New York $2 notes in February and the San Francisco $2 notes in March.

Each of the previous notes were sold out almost within hours of their availability.

The Chicago collector’s $2 single note features:

In addition to the above specifications, the new $2 note product also is:

  • Limited in quantity to 10,000
  • Protected by a clear, acid-free polymer sleeve
  • Housed within a 2008 commemorative folder

The price for one note will be $7.95. Discount pricing is available at $6.95 per note for orders of 50 or more. There is a limit of 100 notes in place per household.

Other reserve bank notes will follow throughout 2008.
