Not sure if you will be able to do a pre-order or not as the US Mint’s website doesn’t give too much information about this series yet. According to an article on the US Mint’s website the series is tentatively scheduled to be released January 15th, 2008.

If I were you I’d continuously check the US Mint’s product catalog to see if there will be an opportunity for pre-ordering. The American Eagle Silver Proof coin for 2008 was just announced (actually today I think) and that is being released January 3rd, 2008. So we may not get a lot of information until we close in on the ordering date.
