Is there anything in this legislation that requires vending machines to accept half dollars as well? I have had success persuading companies to have their machines accept dollar coins, but not half dollars. Although I have had little difficulty dispensing half dollars in change (approx. 10,000 a year or so), it’d be easier if vending machines would accept them.

I went thru the quick checkout at the grocery store and wanted to pay my groceries with coins. It would not accept the Kennedy Half Dollars.
