Utah Quarters are Now for Sale, Experience the Official Launch Ceremony

These Utah state quarter two-set rolls and bags are available for order now at the United States Mint websiteThe Utah quarter is ready. It’s the final state quarter for 2007, the fifth released this year and the 45th coin in the United States Mint’s 50 State Quarters® Program.

The quarters are fresh off the presses and available in special U.S. Mint rolls and bags.

The two-roll set is priced at $32.95 and includes a roll of 40 Utah quarters minted in Philadelphia and a roll of 40 quarters from Denver. The coins will bear the "P" and "D" mint marks respectively.

New Quarters Proposed to Commemorate D.C. and U.S. Territories

Proposed legislation may add 6 new commemorative U.S. quarters in 2009. All good things come to an end. The 50 State Quarters® Program is near that end. Or, is it?

Next year all 50 states will have been commemorated and, by law, the state quarters series will close down.

However, there’s legislation that has passed the House and is already in the Senate’s hands to change that.

Wyoming First Day Coin Covers Available

The Wyoming Official First Day Coin Cover is available now from the United States Mint. 35,000 are available for sale.The United States Mint has released the 2007 Wyoming Official First Day Coin Cover.

These limited edition covers hold two Wyoming state quarters that were each minted on the very first day of the coin’s production.

Just like the Jefferson $1 Coin Cover recently released, one coin included is from the United States Mint at Philadelphia while the other is from Denver.

Also placed on the cover is an American Flag postage stamp and a postmark date of September 4, 2007, which indicates the day the Wyoming state quarters were first released to the public.

State Quarter Mintages - Coin Production Numbers & Figures

Flashing back to the introduction of the 50 State Quarters® Program and you’re hit over the head with how fast time really does fly by.

The year was 1999 - the initiation year of an innovative, 10-year coin series where each state would be celebrated with a design commemorating its history and inclusion into the Union.

Since, we’ve experienced five new state quarters every year. And each quarter has a different reverse (tails) image and theme.

The quarters have not only helped highlight states’ history but have driven many Americans toward a new hobby, collecting coins.

And with that, new coins have been introduced and are continually planned in an attempt to keep that percolated numismatic interest high.
