Overall, 5,371, or 28.7%, of the potential 19,425 ANA members voted in the election. To be eligible to vote, members had to be at least 13 years old and a member for at least one year as of March 31 of the election year. The total number of voters slipped about 1% from the election in 2015, with those eligible to vote down roughly 4.5%.

The new board will be sworn-in at the annual ANA Banquet on Friday, Aug. 4, at the World’s Fair of Money in Denver, Colorado.

In the event that a board member cannot fulfill their two-year term, the runner-up will fill the vacant seat for the remaining portion of that term.

Of the 9 members of the ANA Board of Governors, 6 are full-time coin dealers. So we know who runs the show there. Not a very fair situation for collectors. Big money dealers rule the ANA.

Anyone can join the ANA , established 1891 USA . You can vote at the age of 13 as long as you pay dues and in good standing. ANA has 25,000 members over 19,000 were able to vote. Under 6000 voted. It’s up to all the members to vote. Membership dues are not bad at all. Good Bennys, the major part of my collection are from ANA dealers. When I sold over the years it was to a ANA dealer in good standings with the ANA. One thing there are ANA dealers that will take advantage of you. You got to know what you are doing. A true ANA dealer will not do that . If they have time they will give you a little education. Check it out some day.
