PNG Accepting Education and Internship Applications

PNG LogoThe Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) has mentored 17 prospective coin and bank note dealers since launching its internship project in 2014. The nonprofit organization is now accepting applications for its next round of openings, seeking candidates from young men and women, ages 21 to 32.

Entitled the Promoting Numismatic Growth Internship Program, the project offers educational courses and hands-on experience working at prominent, PNG member-dealer companies.

"Even if you don’t want a paid internship, PNG offers its extensive online education courses to anyone interested in learning about numismatics," explained PNG Executive Director Robert Brueggeman.

Applicants who successfully complete a background security check and the education components of the program will have an opportunity for a three to six months paid internship.

"The PNG also continues to offer its extensive online, multi-media internship education and training curriculum from the Edward C. Milas School of Numismatics to anyone who wants to take the classes, not just internship candidates," said Brueggeman.

The fee for applying for the internship program is $250 to cover the cost of a security background check and the Level 100 online classes. The cost for Level 200 intern candidates is an additional $250. Those who want only the online classes can enroll for a total fee of $300 that includes Levels 100 and 200.

The PNG is a nonprofit organization composed of many of the top rare coin and paper money dealers in the United States and other countries.

And, the PNG allows convicted felons to be members of their exclusive “club” with their ironic motto “Knowledge. Integrity. Responsibility.” Big-time financial contributors to PNG, Leon & David Hendrickson of SilverTowne L.P. in Winchester, Indiana (who also own tv ripoff coin shopping show The Coin Vault) are both convicted… Read more »
