On Wednesday, June 15, the United States Mint will likely raise prices on about two dozen gold coins. Increases would depend on the amount of gold in each coin, and range from $5 to $50.
U.S. Mint policy is to set pricing on collector gold coins according to a weekly average of London gold. The agency most recently cut prices when gold tumbled to within the level of $1,200.00 to $1,249.99 an ounce. The yellow metal has since rallied to a more than five-week high and is now trading near $1,287 an ounce.
If Wednesday’s LBMA gold price for the PM stays above $1,250 an ounce, expect the following changes across these gold products:

The United States Mint made five pricing adjustments earlier in the year, raising them in all but the last instance. Past adjustments have tended to happen on Wednesdays at around 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This article will get updated with what actually happens.
Update: As expected, the U.S. Mint raised gold coin prices on Wednesday. The new prices started to kick in at around 2:00 p.m. ET.
