Dirk Hartog Australian Landing 1 oz Silver Coin in High Relief

Celebrating the 400th anniversary of Dirk Hartog’s Australian landing of 1616, the Perth Mint has issued a silver coin featuring the explorer’s ship, Eendracht, as it would appear through a telescope.

No more than 3,000 of the coins are available to the public. Each is in collector proof quality, has a high relief, and is in one ounce of 99.99% pure silver.

Australian Kookaburra 1 Kilo Silver Proof Coin

Large format coin collectors will also want to check out the new 2016 Australian Kookaburra 1 Kilo Silver Proof Coin. Its diameter is a staggering 100.60 mm and it has a thickness of 14.60 mm.

Seen on the reverse is a single kookaburra bird as it sits perched on a fence post. The mintage limit for the 99.9% fine silver coin is capped at 500.

Australian Stock Horse 5 oz Gold Proof Coin

Only a few select people will have the chance to buy this new gold coin since just 99 are available. Each depicts an Australian Stock Horse as it jumps a hurdle.

The collectible is in five ounces of 99.99% pure gold and in proof quality. A wooden display case accompanies each coin, as does a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Norse Gods – Thor Silver High Relief Antiqued Coin

As we previously wrote about and are surprised to find is still available, the Perth Mint this week released the second issue from the three-coin Norse Gods series.

The first coin depicted Odin and it quickly sold out. Following in its footsteps is this coin showcasing a high-relief image of Thor, the ‘God of Thunder’. Each piece is in an antiqued finish with a rimless design and from two ounces of 99.9% fine silver

Maximum mintage for the 2016 Thor Silver Coin is only 2,000. The collector coin ships in a square wooden display case with engraved detailing on its lid.

80th Anniversary of The Phantom Silver Proof Medallion

Comic lovers will be drawn to this medallion featuring The Phantom in the jungle with his wolf Devil and Skull Cave in the background.

The Thor coin did not sell out in the first few days & the Perth Mint has lifted the 1 coin per household limit that was imposed for the first 4 days of issue. This rare coin is still available unbelievably!
