The Perth Mint of Australia for March offers a range of uniquely themed coins in multiple compositions and finishes.
Leading the charge was a new antiqued silver coin bearing a design emblematic of Odin, the first release in the new Norse Gods series. We wrote about this coin earlier in the week, and there is no surprise that it sold out quickly.
Still for sale are collectibles to include a Great White Shark Australian Map-Shaped Coin, new ANZAC gold and aluminum bronze issues, gold and silver coins marking the centennial of the Returned & Services League, a new Tiger Cubs silver coin, and a 100th anniversary of Gumnut Babies Stamp and Coin Cover.
Information on these new collectible coin products is offered below:
2016 Anzac $1 Coin in Card
A Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle alongside a bugler in silhouette is depicted on the reverse of this new Anzac $1 coin. Inscribed on the design is "Lest We Forget" and "April 25" to remind all of Anzac Day.
Each aluminum bronze coin is attached to an illustrated display card, featuring a fold-out stand for upright display. Mintage of this uncirculated coin is unlimited.
2016 $1 Great White Shark Australian Map-Shaped Silver Coin
Appearing as the ninth release in the Perth Mint’s Australian Map Shaped Coin Series, this latest issue features a colored reverse design of a Great White Shark. The shark is swimming in the ocean with a shipwreck in the background.
