2016 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Sets return for sale on Feb. 23

The United States Mint published new on-sale dates for their clad and silver proof sets of 2016 America the Beautiful Quarters.

Clad sets will return for sale on Feb. 23. They originally launched on Jan. 11 for $14.95 but soon had their sales suspended after a printing mistake was discovered on packaging. According to the Mint, boxes that held the quarters showed an incorrect image for Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The park is one of the five national sites commemorated on 2016 quarters with a unique reverse design.

The same error affected the set of 90% silver proof quarters, which had been scheduled to launch on Jan. 25 for $31.95. It has a new release date of Mar. 7.

This year’s five quarters commemorate Shawnee National Forest in Illinois, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Kentucky, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia, Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota, and Fort Moultrie in South Carolina.

Pricing for the two collector sets remain the same. When they become available at noon ET on their respective release dates, order them by using this link to the Mint’s quarter products.
