US Banknote Production Tops 595 Million in April
More banknotes were printed in April than a month earlier and a year ago, data from the agency responsible for producing U.S. currency shows. The combined value of the notes also climbed from both periods.

US Mint Expanding Operations and Hiring
Demand for U.S. circulating coins is increasing, and the United States Mint is expanding operations as a result. Coin production figures have jumped above at least 1.2 billion each month this year, and most recently hit 1.69 billion new coins in April. That's the most in a month than any since 2007.

New security-enhanced holders for PCGS-certified coins are now in use, Professional Coin Grading Service announced Tuesday, May 26. The holders have both obvious and hidden security features to deter counterfeiters and identify counterfeit holders, the company described, and they also help prevent spotting and toning of coins.

D. Brent Pogue Collection, Part I, Realizes Over $25M
