Also,The Perth Mint’s Mercanti 2015 5-oz Silver, 1-oz Gold & 2-oz Gold Wedge Tail Eagle was released yesterday, Monday April 6th

JOE #2

Don’t know why certain coins from Australia ( straight from Perth Mint ) are not offered to the U.S. like the gold 2 ounce gold wedge tail eagle. I am a customer of the Perth Mint. I guess with a low mintage on certain coins, They want to give Australia the opportunities on certain pieces.

Richard

In the 1930s the wave of speculation in US commemorative half dollars crashed when far too many issues were produced. Does anybody have the feeling that other governments have forgotten (or never learned) that lesson? Dinosaurs? Disney characters? Adventure stories? This is getting pretty far removed from anything approaching serious coinage.

Nick

My sentiments exactly Richard! To me, these are no more than glorified medals or tokens. These are a far cry from masterpieces such as the Canberra Florin which, in my humble opinion, is one of the most beautiful Australian coins produced.

vadim

I’m only interested in the Disney coins from Perth mint. I think they are quite nice, and my 4 year old daughter loves princesses edition. Mickey and friends are for my son. The other coins are for investors in precious metals and Australian residents.
