PNG LogoDo you need your old coins or banknotes appraised? If you’re in the Dallas area from Feb. 26 to Feb. 28, you may want to stop in at the Dallas Rare Coin and Paper Money Show, sponsored by the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG).

PNG says many of the 50 dealers participating at the show will offer informal appraisals for free.

"The Dallas show will be an opportunity for the public to learn the value of coins or currency they may have inherited," said PNG President Terry Hanlon, President of Dillon Gage Precious Metals in Addison, Texas. "And collectors in the Southwest can meet and do business with many PNG member-dealers from around the country who usually do not attend the local Dallas area coin shows."

Also, Heritage Auctions, based in Dallas, will attend and auction rare U.S. coins in conjunction with the show.

Admission is just $10 for a three-day pass, but you can also get in for free. There are free admission coupons available right here.

Public show hours are:

  • Thursday, Feb. 26, from 10 am to 6 pm;
  • Friday, Feb. 27, from 9 am to 6 pm; and
  • Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9 am to 5 pm.

The Dallas Rare Coin and Paper Money Show will take place in Hall C of the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, located at 1501 Gaylord Trail in the Dallas suburb of Grapevine, Texas.
