2015 Maple Leaf Fractional Sets in Gold and Silver

Featuring reverse designs emblematic of Canada’s national symbol, the sugar maple leaf, the Royal Canadian Mint has unveiled two new collections sure to delight many collectors. Now available are the 2015 Maple Leaf Gold Fractional Set and the 2015 Maple Leaf Silver Incuse Fractional Set.

Although the two sets are seen as continuations of past popular programs, both also mark several firsts in their respective series. They are also available in limited amounts at just 600 gold sets and 9,999 silver sets.

"The strong, resilient, and bountiful sugar maple has long been a symbol of Canada," offers the Royal Canadian Mint on its website. "From this nation’s earliest years, Canadians have adopted the image of the maple leaf to represent Canada and its people, and since 1964 this symbol has held a place of honour at the centre of Canada’s flag"

2015 Maple Leaf Gold Fractional Set

Four coins are found in the 2015 Maple Leaf Pure Gold Fractional Set, including a one ounce coin, a one-quarter ounce coin, a one-tenth ounce coin and a one-twentieth ounce coin. In a first for the program, each features a different reverse design of a maple leaf as it spins gracefully in the air.

In another first for the series, the one ounce coin has been edge lettered with a serialized number. The three other coins have a serrated edge.

2015 Maple Leaf Silver Incuse Fractional Set

Five coins are included in the 2015 Maple Leaf Fine Silver Incuse Fractional Set, including a one ounce, one-half ounce, one-quarter ounce, one-tenth ounce and one-twentieth ounce. All feature the same basic reverse of a sugar maple leaf struck with a unique incuse technique, a program first.

In another first for the program, the one ounce coin has been accented with translucent red enamel that allows the natural contours of the leaf to show through. All five are featured in reverse proof condition.

I have seen both of these sets,I have to admit if I wasn’t on a fixed income, I’d buy them.I’m only one person, but I’m probably not the only one who thinks that these are great sets! Sugar Maple Leaf Sets are very great to look . These are really nice sets,so trust me buy 1 or both!
