The latest round of U.S. Mint sales figures has just been published for the 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins.

Issued in gold, silver and clad and in proof and uncirculated qualities, only the 50c clad coins remain available from the United States Mint. The $5 gold coins sold out within 24 hours and the silver dollars sold out last week, though the Mint continues to accept orders for the $1s in a waiting list capacity.

New figures offer fresh splits for the proof and uncirculated coins with the former commanding sales leads of almost 2-to-1.

Directly below is a table offering the latest numbers. All sales amounts are as of Sunday, April 13, 2014.

Well this is interesting. I put in a late order on 3/29 for a gold coin. I just received notice my free bag was just shipped and my credit card billed the $4.95 shipping fee, Does this mean I will get a coin or did I just waste nearly five bucks on the stupid bag?

Joe

I’m surprised the clad half’s are not selling out. They are also first of a kind.

Bob

The clads will sell out, it will just take a long time. It seems to me the price is too high for them.

I agree, Bob – in 2008, the Bald Eagle clad coins were $7.95. Why the price went up by 130% the following year is ridiculous at best.

Bob, looks like you will be getting a coin! I know many of you may be ordering for the first time or this is the first time that you will be receiving an order with more than one item being shipped separately. The Mint is shipping their “Free” mint bags ahead of many Gold and Sliver Coin orders. What is happening is that the Bags are arriving with the Shipping bill of $4.95. This is only a One Time Charge per order. You will not be charged an additional shipping charge when your Coins arrive. What is strange and confusing… Read more »

Customers will not be charged an additional $4.95 for their upcoming order. · About Changing Shipping Dates: We are experiencing technical difficulties with the part of our system that displays the expected ship date for your order, causing the dates to move incorrectly.
