Today, Nov. 12, 2013, the United States Mint launched its 2013 Woodrow Wilson Presidential $1 Coin Cover.

This is the 28th issue from the American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series and honors Wilson, who was the 28th President.

Each coin cover comes with two Woodrow Wilson Presidential $1 Coins that are mounted on a display card and held within an envelope. One of the Presidential dollars is from the U.S. Mint facility in Philadelphia and the other is from the U.S. facility Mint in Denver.

These two coins were minted on the first day of production at their respective striking locations. In Philadelphia, the first day of production was on Mar. 11, 2013, while the Denver Mint began making the $1 coins on Feb. 6, 2013.

As seen in the image further above, the face of the display card features a portrait of President Wilson and a US Patriotic Star stamp. It also includes a post mark that is dated Nov. 12, 2013, Staunton, VA, to denote when the United States Mint issued the coin cover.

The backs of the covers, as seen toward the right, offer information about President Wilson, the $1 coin and the coin cover itself.

Obverses (heads side) of Woodrow Wilson Presidential $1 Coins feature a profile likeness of President Wilson by Don Everhart. The inscriptions that appear around the portrait read: "Woodrow Wilson," "In God We Trust," "28th President" and "1913-1921."

On the reverse (tails side) of the dollar is a rendition of the Statue of Liberty, also by Don Everhart. The inscriptions on this side read: "United States of America" and "$1."

Other inscriptions stamped on the edge of the coin read "2013," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the mint mark "P" or "D."

This year’s 2013 Presidential $1 Coin Covers have a product limit of 20,000 units. There are no household ordering limits, meaning collectors can order as many as they like.

Additionally, those who are interested in Woodrow Wilson Presidential $1 Coins in rolls, bags or boxes can place orders for them online.

Released on Oct. 17, 2013, rolls are available from either the Denver Mint or Philadelphia Mint for $32.95. Bags of 100 coins are sold from either facility for $111.95. The boxes are available in two quantities, 250 coins, priced at $275.95, and 500 coins for $550.95.

I found a 1913-1921 silver coin with Woodrow Wilson on front & on the back has stars around it. We would like to know if it’s authentic & also the value. Thank you.
