Found in the set are a total of fourteen different coins. Each are struck to proof quality at the US Mint facility in San Francisco and each bear the "S" mint mark. The fourteen strikes are collector grade versions of the 2013-dated circulating coinage of the United States.

Coins of the set are nearly identical to those found in the clad 2013 US Mint Proof Set released in late March. The only exception is that seven of the coins are struck from 90% silver. That composition is commonly referred to as "coin silver" with the inclusion of 10% copper in the alloy adding durability to the strike.

The seven silver coins, when combined, have a total silver weight of 1.34 ounces of the precious metal. Based on yesterday’s London Fix for Silver of $23.97 an ounce, this gives an approximate set melt value of $32.12.

New Silver Proof Set Packaging

This release includes new, more attractive packaging that depicts national scenes, coins and presidents.

Shown on the back of the carton is additional information on the coins found within the set. This includes the name of the sites honored by the five included America the Beautiful Quarters as well as portraits of the Presidents honored on the four 2013 Presidential $1 Coins.

These are nice sets, but often overpriced, in my opinion. I usually buy a few years later at a fraction of the price.
