Mintage and Product Limits

Public Law 111-262 authorizes the U.S. Mint to strike up to 100,000 $5 gold coins; 500,000 silver dollars; and 750,000 clad half-dollars.

Production of the three-coin proof set is limited to 10,000 units, which means it is nearing a sellout. The three-coin proof set has a proof $5 gold coin, proof silver dollar and proof half-dollar.

There will also be another product released later this year that has one or more of the commemoratives coins. Further details and its limits have not been announced yet.

No matter what, the commemoratives will go off sale by the end of the year, usually around mid-December, unless they sell out first.
