Yosef Baker

Yosef Baker has been named Numismatic Buyer for Rare Coin Wholesalers of Irvine, California. He will be the company’s East coast representative and based in Union County, New Jersey near the metropolitan New York City area, according to Steven L. Contursi, President of Rare Coin Wholesalers.

"Yosef began collecting coins at the age of seven when his grandfather gave him a Morgan dollar for his birthday. Since then he’s been an avid collector and passionate numismatist. In 2009, at the age of 21, he opened his own company, BSD Coins, and now has joined the RCW team as our East coast buyer," said Contursi [...]

Fine Gold BarsU.S. gold and silver prices continued their streak of four session gains on Friday, supported by dismal U.S. employment data which elicited safe-haven buying. Gold registered a weekly increase of 4.0 percent while silver surged 8.4 percent.

Although platinum and palladium declined Friday, they rose on the week with respective gains of 1.0 percent and 2.8 percent.

2011 American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin
American Eagle Silver bullion coins continue to move at a record-setting sales pace. The latest United States Mint sales figures indicate that last month was the best ever June for the .999 fine silver coins. June also ranked in the top ten for all-time monthly sales.

Despite an allocation policy by the United States Mint which limits the number of Silver Eagles distributors can purchase, 3,402,000 were sold in June 2011. The level ranks as the seventh best in monthly sales for the American Eagle, marking a significant milestone given that the series was introduced a quarter of a century ago. [...]
