New 2010 America the Beautiful QuartersIn a move that will perk collectors’ interests before the weekend, the United States Mint today announced three new product offerings via their subscription service that include strikes from the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program which debuted this year.

Named the America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set, the America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set and the America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set, these collections offer buyers additional combinations of fresh strikes that may have been difficult to obtain in the past or required the break-up of more expensive sets. The three, however, also include their own not so insignificant premiums.

The coins available this year in the new sets include the Hot Springs National Park Quarter for the state of Arkansas, the Yellowstone National Park Quarter for Wyoming, the Yosemite National Park Quarter for California, the Grand Canyon National Park Quarter for Arizona and the Mount Hood National Forest Quarter for Oregon. These five strikes are the first to be issued in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program which is set to run until at least 2021, by which time fifty-six new quarters will have been created.

America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set

In the America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set, which is listed to sell for $13.95, a coin from each of the Mint’s facilities will be included — two in uncirculated condition and one in proof. One uncirculated coin will be from the United States Mint in Philadelphia with another that will originate from the United States Mint in Denver. The proof in the set will be struck at the United States Mint in San Francisco. These three-coin sets will be available for each individual site honored in the program and will start with the Hot Springs Quarter.

America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set

The America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set for $21.95 will include two uncirculated coins for each site honored in the America the Beautiful Program that year. One of those coins will be struck at the United States Mint in Denver and one at the United States Mint in Philadelphia. As five new quarters are scheduled to be released each year, each set will contain a total of ten coins.

America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set

Just like the previously mentioned Uncirculated Set, the America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set will also contain a total of ten coins, with five representing strikes from the Mint’s facility in Denver and five from the Mint’s facility in Philadelphia. However, just as the name implies, these sets will include circulation-quality strikes. The Mint lists $9.95 as their price.

With more options now available, the Mint is encouraging collectors to consider its Online Subscription Program as a way to insure they receive what they want. Subscription orders for the new offerings will be taken by the Mint starting on May 19, 2010 at noon Eastern Time (ET).

The Mint has not yet released dates for any of the new products.
