CCAC to Review America the Beautiful Quarters Designs

Public Meeting Notice The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. ET to review designs for the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters and 2010 First Spouse Gold Coins and Medals.

The first 5 of the 56 America the Beautiful quarter design will commemorate Hot Springs National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Mt. Hood National Forest (see quarters release schedule.)

Next year’s First Spouse Gold Coins and Medals will feature Abigail Fillmore, Jan Pierce, James Buchanan’s Liberty and Mary Todd Lincoln.

Tuesday’s session is open to the public and news media. The meeting is expected to end at 1 p.m. ET. It will be held at:

The CCAC is tasked to review and advise the Treasury Secretary on themes and design proposals for circulating coinage, commemorative coins, bullion coinage, Congressional Gold Medals and other medals.
