For the second time in two weeks, the US Mint has updated its 2009 Product Schedule.
Last week the schedule was revised to include dates for August offerings. Thursday the Mint provided specific dates for collector coin and set releases through to September.
Captivatingly within the new schedule are several coin products the Mint has mentioned but not yet fully described:
- 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial One Cent Proof Set
- United States Mint Braille Education Set
- United States Mint Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set
The first item is self explanatory. The second product briefly appeared in a preceding Mint press statement, but with no feature details. The last item, the Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set, will be one of the most anticipated product launches of the year. The set is to include proofs of each 2009 redesigned Lincoln penny and a Lincoln Commemorative Dollar.
Individual Lincoln dollars sold out earlier this year when collectors eagerly (and quickly) purchased 325,000 proof and 125 uncirculated coins. 50,000 proofs, however, were held in reserve by the Mint for the upcoming set. They will likely sellout on the day of issue.
