2009 ANA Board of Governors Election Ballots Mailed

ANACOLORADO SPRINGS – Ballots for the 2009 American Numismatic Association Board of Governors election will be mailed May 27, Executive Director Larry Shepherd has announced.

Ballot envelopes have the words, "Official election ballot" printed in the lower left corner and include the election auditing firm’s return address: BiggsKofford, P.C., 630 Southpointe Court, Suite 200, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. A barcode is in the lower right corner.

Enclosed in each envelope is a ballot, a copy of the candidate biographies and platforms, and an addressed return envelope to which Members must affix a 44-cent postage stamp. Members living outside the U.S. were mailed ballots on May 15, and should affix the appropriate international postage.

All ballots must be mailed in time to be received by the auditing firm no later than June 26. Election results will be announced on July 3, and the new Board of Governors will be sworn in at the ANA World’s Fair of Money convention banquet in Los Angeles on August 8.

Seventeen candidates are running for two-year terms on the Board of Governors. Patricia A. Jagger Finner and Clifford Mishler, both of Iola, WI, are running for President. Thomas G. Hallenbeck of Colorado Springs is running unopposed for Vice President.
