i think the spouses 1/2 oz gold coin are attractive but mintages might increase substantially due to the mint will continue to sell them. and the collectors rush to have them due to shortage. proof or uncirculated. which is better?. it is hard to tell. two small mintages of liberty's coins or the rest of the series. it is also hard to tell. remember gold coin collectors were very few as compared to silver. i will pass this one and stick to the american fractional uncirculated (w) eagles and buffaloes. three years for the eagles and one year for the buffaloes. the mint will not producing them. 2008w american eagle unc 1/4 oz is the winner. the lowest mintage of all eagles and buffaloes since 1986.
