Cathy, I haven't heard anything from anyone about my question. If I were you, I would take the coin to a reputable dealer and see what he/she says. Good luck. Let me know what you find out. Maybe it really is a rare coin that's worth quite a bit.

I happen to have the same exact coin Sara Joiner Eubanks explains. It does not have the date, mint mark, E Pluribus Unum and in God We Trust. I am researching this now. Did you come up with any answers?

25 June 2010
Yesterday I received a call from a coin company offering the John Quincy Adams error coin, PCGS MS65, for $2,950.00. This coin is supposedly missing the date, mint mark, E Pluribus Unum and In God We Trust. I was also told it's the first coin series ever to be struck without a year date, and that only 1,155 of a total 115,260,000 John Quincy Adams coins are known to have these rare errors.
I have done research on this and haven't been able to find anything to confirm this particular coin, so I was wondering if you could let me know if it actually exists. If it does, would it be worth a value anywhere close to what they're saying?
I appreciate any help you can provide.

DOES ANYONE USE THE PRESIDENTIAL DOLLAR COINS?

In Canada they have $1 and $2 which is great as you can buy lunch with your change.

I think they look great and I use them everywhere I can with the help of a little change-holder called Portsou that I picked up online.

Check it out www.portsou.com Go dollar!!!
